Ethiopia

The hosting of daily morning devotions is a hallmark of DOUBLE HARVEST projects. At Kuriftu our people met in the church located on site and the Pastor of the church conducted the worship time.

At Genesis Farms we assembled in the production barn; benches were set up each morning, a keyboard provided accompaniment for the singing and a group of local pastors brought the devotion for the morning.

"...they are new every morning" "For my yoke is easy, And my burden is light"

In 2008 Genesis Farms built a spacious new meeting hall for the morning gathering.

DOUBLE HARVEST in partnership with Genesis Farms supports four evangelists who go to rural areas of Ethiopia to bring the gospel and plant churches.

Building Churches

Since 1999 we have funded the construction of numerous churches in cooperation with Kale Heywet Church (Ethiopia’s largest evangelical denomination).

Funds were provided to build this church in the Shewa Region.

Together with DOUBLE HARVEST Netherlands we provided funds to replace the tent church in Debre Zeyt and built a large spacious building using compressed earth blocks. This mode of construction gives an attractive solid look to the structure and is a “green” building in that the bricks require no firing to cure them.
